Riday vai, apnar bola kotha guli sobi zani...but amar mone hoy ami kono strange n unusual thot prokassh korini...ami tader somporkei comment kori zader ami nirdosh dekhte chai...ami prothom alor prob nie alochona koreci r apni ohetuk tar majhe razakar prosongo tene enecen (ha, esob kotha sonar j amader dorkar nai ta bolcina).

apni jemon alpin off korar kono dukkho khuje pachcen na thik temni ami onek dukkho khuje peyeci...tar mane ei noy j amar dharonai thik ba apnar dharona vul

Ayin upodestar kothai thik: puro bepartai sorojontro. Coz ta ami agei boleci...Puro bepartai mone hoece loghu pape guru dondo!!! Cartoonist k dhorar age dhora uchit cilo Sumonto aslam k (logically)...ar take jodi arrest korte hoy tahole tar age dhora uchit P Alor editor k (& logically). Sekhane Bill deyar kotha bole niraporadh cartoonist k arrest korar jukti ta kothay bolen?

    A happy eid to every one. Shadeshi bondhu is a great group. Lots of people interact here. Though i myself don't check each of the mail sent by the group. But i remember once i dropped by to check mail here and i saw a lot of mail regarding the fun magazine Alpin. Alpin was facing some trouble with the islamic parties then due to some comments made by a cartoonist of that magazine.Its an old topic now. The reason why i am writting today is that after that incident Prothom Alo stopped publishing Alpin totally. I knew that it was temporary and Alpin would be back in action after some time. I might be wrong . Maybe they decided to stop publishing it permenantly. But isn't that wrong? i mean a comment made by one cartoonist stopped the whole magazine! I always thought Alpin was a great magazine, it didn't only made people laugh but also made them conscious about what was happening around them. It also asked them to follow their heart and the righteous path of humanity. Such a great magazine had to be stopped only bacause some guy commented on a matter he shouln't have commented about. Every one saw what that one cartoonist wrote nobody considered the messages Alpin was sending through their writings and cartoons. Is that justified?

   If anyone reading this mail knows anything about Alpins publication(If Alpin would be published later or not) please let me know. I wish a happy and joyous life to everyone.
